Devices
Nineteen patent applications, all refused, all on the grounds that the device
described could not operate. Each refusal is in the file. Each device is also in the file,
as a photograph, operating.
ON THE REFUSALS
The examiners were correct. The devices cannot operate. The Institute has examined four of them
in person and confirms both that they cannot operate and that they are operating.
The Institute considers this a matter for the patent office and has written to say so.
The patent office has replied. The reply is displayed in Hall 7.
